My Story
I earned my Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2012 at Nazareth College of Rochester and then went on to persue my Masters in Medical Management through the University of Rochester in 2015. I was introduced to pelvic health after the birth of my second child when I had trouble finding the support and education that I needed for my own body. With this experience I realized there was a gap in the medical model of care for mothers, and that physical therapists are uniquely able to fill that!
The more I learned about pelvic floor physical therapy, the more I felt compelled to bring this knowledge to other people. My favorite part about my job is educating someone about their own body. We often create stories as to why our bodies are failing us, and I'm passionate about taking the time to explain to someone the science and anatomy of why their body is showing certain symptoms. This knowledge is so powerful! Health class shouldn't stop at 11th grade!! I value getting to know my clients, finding out what really drives them, giving them the power to make change and cheering you on!
